India has been a centre of profound knowledge, encompassing both spiritual and material sciences, with well-established practices and guidelines. This remained intact until foreign invasions began around 1,000 years ago, nearly erasing our ancient knowledge system. However, this wisdom was partially preserved and more in the pockets of Southern India— Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala—where the impact of these invasions was considerably minimal.
From the 1990s onward, there was a revival of Vastu culture in Southern India, followed by Northern India around 2005. As awareness grew, the ancient science of Vastu regained prominence. Eventually, its influence spread beyond India, attracting global interest as people recognized its benefits and its simplicity to implement and began incorporating it into their architectural practices.
Celebrating 25 years of Vastu Consultancy
Our chief consultant, Mr. Alokkumar Agarwal, was initiated as a disciple of his Sadhguru, the highly revered and learned Saint Swami Shri Govinddev Giriji Maharaj, founder of Maharshi Ved Vyas Pratishthan. He received his initiation from his holiness in the year 1995.
Until 1998, he and his team successfully ran his yarn marketing business in Tirupur. However, that year, his business unexpectedly began facing severe challenges. During this difficult period, a close friend and business associate from Hyderabad visited him and pointed out that the root cause of these issues was the repositioning of the main door to a south-southwest direction.
Through this experience, he realised that placing the main entrance in the south-southwest direction was a major Vastu flaw. Understanding the profound impact that Vastu principles could have—both positive and negative—on various aspects of life, he developed a deep interest in this ancient Indian science. His quest for understanding Vastu Shastra became relentless, fueling a lifelong dedication to mastering this sacred science.
